Thank you to our wonderful counselor, Ms. Shonquita Horton, for helping bring awareness to child abuse. She decorated the halls with blue pinwheels and provided blue bags filled with valuable information and goodies. #whereexcellenceisthestandard #ChildAbusePreventionMonth #WearBLUE

Today, students in 7-1 reviewed angles in a fun way. They completed a Kahoot game, used the Desmos Moving Protractor, and completed practice questions on Khan Academy. The class ended with each group working together to create a specific angle or angles (e.g., acute, obtuse, right, complimentary, supplementary). Our scholars got really creative.

On Monday, April 8, 2024, our students had the incredible opportunity to witness a historic event – a solar eclipse! We extend our heartfelt thanks to Principal Zackery Harris for his proactive efforts in ensuring that every student experienced this awe-inspiring phenomenon safely. With protective gear provided by Georgia College & State University, our students were able to observe the eclipse firsthand and marvel at the wonders of the universe. It's moments like these that spark curiosity, inspire wonder, and create memories that will last a lifetime. We are dedicated to enriching the educational experience of our students Hancock Central Middle School! 🌞🌑✨ #SolarEclipse #SafeObservation #EducationalExperience #whereexcellenceisthestandard

Good evening HCMS parents and stakeholders: As a reminder, please have kids to bring all chrome-books and chargers tomorrow. Students will be required to turn them in at that time to their homeroom teachers. If your child has a damaged chrome-book it will still need to be turned in and documented. Please note, that if a chrome-book is damaged that fees associated to the repairs or replacement of the device will be placed on the students account and must be satisfied. If those fees are not satisfied there could be holds placed on your child’s report cards and academic records. Please be sure to make sure that this is taken care of as soon as possible. 1/2 Day Schedules: Tomorrow- Friday are 1/2 days. Dismissal will be done at 12 NOON daily. If you have any questions please make sure you contact the middle school administration office. Have a great evening!
